Full Description

An avid shopper, who loves to wear jeans – like many of you, Isabelle always found it hard to find jeans that had a great fit as well as superior quality and design. The jeans she usually bought were not American made, and if they were, the fabric and other materials came from foreign countries. Thinking about why she could not find a fantastic pair of jeans that were completely American-made, Isabelle had an idea… an idea that hit her like a speeding bullet – she was going to design jeans that would be made entirely in the USA and made using only American-made materials (fabric, button, burrs, etc.). Et Voila! Bullet Blues was born!

Made in America with exceptional quality, Bullet Blues jeans for women fit like a glove, with just enough stretch to emphasize the beautiful shapes of American women. Proudly enlisting only American craftsmen and resources, Bullet Blues men’s jeans offer the same uncompromising quality and style, but they are specially tailored just to make him look and feel great.

Living the American Dream with a European Flair Isabelle, the proprietor of Bullet Blues, was born in Angouleme, France. She is the 3rd child in a family of 6. She came to America thinking she was going to stay for a short time but she fell in love with the USA. She decided to stay and now has her dual citizenship. She is married, has a son and is living the American Dream in Florida.

In 2010 we went to visit the American Cemetery and Memorial in Normandy, France. It is located in Colleville-sur-Mer, Normandy and it honors the American soldiers who died in Europe during World War II.

While there, we also explored the battlefields of Utah Beach, Omaha Beach, Juno Beach, Gold Beach, and Sword Beach. We watched some films explaining the Normandy landings, codenamed operation Neptune. They were so descriptive we could almost feel the terror of the bullets flying and massive explosions all around the brave soldiers. Knowing just a small amount of what these men endured for our freedom made me proud to have become an American citizen. I still remember my grand-parents telling us how great the Americans were. They told us many war stories (both of my grand-fathers were taken prisoner in Germany and the women had to survive alone with their children).

Before leaving the area, we visited the cemetery one more time. It is an enormous facility covering 70 perfectly manicured acres. 9,387 brave men were laid to rest there, most of whom were killed during the Normandy landings as well as the ensuing military operations of World War II. It was, however, the grave of an unknown soldier that touched us the most. I recall my son Guillaume, who was 12 at the time, asking me why there was no name on the cross.

The cross reads “Here rests in honored glory a comrade in arms known but to God”. We had a discussion about who he could be. What was his race? What was his religion? How did he die? Nothing is really known about him but that does not mean he should be forgotten.

We knelt beside the unknown grave and prayed. In our hearts we knew that these brave young men came to this foreign land to help free people they did not know. They brought their courage, their rifles and their BULLETS.

When we decided to start BULLET BLUES CUSTOM APPAREL,L.L.C., we wanted to somehow honor the bravery and selfless achievements of these soldiers. We felt that the best way was to create all American made clothing using only American made materials and hope that the company name is a reminder of our country’s greatness and of the great men that sacrificed themselves to keep it that way.
